frequently-asked-questions

Are appointments needed?

I believe we can better serve your needs when appointments are scheduled in advance. Please call 413-499-1580 to schedule your appointment. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our Client Care Coordinators and our team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our hospital is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Do you provide emergency services?

Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital provides on-site emergency care for your pets during business hours, 7 days a week, as well as having our doctors on-call till 10 pm for our regular clients. Doctors will speak with you directly to establish a plan of care for your pet.

If you have an after hour’s emergency, we encourage you to call our direct line at 413-499-1580. Depending on your location, our call center will refer you to one of two highly qualified specialty hospitals. VESH in South Deerfield, or Upstate Veterinary Specialties in Latham, NY.

What are your financial policies?

Our financial policy requires full payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Care Credit. If an emergency or severe illness of a pet occurs and an established client is unable to pay the bill in full, special arrangements may be made with the Care Credit Program prior to initiating treatment or surgery.
