Dr. Monica Vogel

Dr. Vogel was born and raised in Pittsfield, MA and grew up enjoying the immense beauty that the Berkshires have to offer. As a child she could be found wherever animals were and loved observing animals in the wild. The human-animal bond became greatly important at a young age, and she quickly dedicated herself to doing all she could to strengthen that bond.  After gaining experience at a local kennel Dr. Vogel knew she wanted to become a veterinarian.

Dr. Vogel earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. After graduation she moved to Indiana where she attended Purdue University to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. While in veterinary school she worked as a student radiology technician where she took x-rays of many animals including hedgehogs, rabbits, horses, cats, and dogs.  Dr. Vogel enjoys the variety of general practice but has particular interests in ophthalmology, cardiology, and diagnostic imaging.

Back home in the Berkshires, Dr. Vogel and her fiancé enjoying spending time outdoors including hiking and observing the various wildlife nearby. They have two black Labrador Retrievers, “Hickory” and “Brooks”, both which are the highlight of their lives and run the household. Dr. Vogel also enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and practicing yoga.
