Dr. Michelle Looney: 
Dr. Michelle Looney is a native of Berkshire County. She grew up in Hancock, MA and attended school in New Lebanon, NY. The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY was her stepping-stone into the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN. Following vet school she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery with Oradell Animal Hospital in Oradell, NJ.
Before joining Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Looney practiced with Intown Veterinary Group located north of Boston for nine years. Intown is a group of hospitals that utilizes veterinary general practitioners, veterinary specialists and has an emphasis in emergency and critical care. Though she loved the Boston area and the Intown vet group, Dr. Looney is very happy to be home in the Berkshires and near her family. She enjoys emergency medicine and general practice, including exotic animal care.
While her family is young, Dr. Looney intends to share her time between work and caring for her three beautiful children. She has two mixed breed dogs named Moses and Turtle and a Maine Coon cat who goes by Marlin. She loves hiking, racquetball and swimming.
